8 Best Vegan Restaurants In Kolkata You Need To Try!

Kolkata, the City of Joy, is calling all vegans! The 8 Vegan Restaurants in the city are a must-visit. Let's check them out.

Kolkata has earned its sweet nickname because of its soulful embodiment of culture, love, respect, enthusiasm, and unique sweet delicacies and delicious foods.

In the previous few years, there has been a rapid change in Kolkata's vegan food scenario. Apart from rapid growth in vegetarian restaurants in Kolkata, there are also many vegan restaurants that have opened up.

While it is easier to find vegetarian places all over Kolkata, discovering food joints that serve vegan-friendly dishes is a bit difficult. That's why I have hunted for the city's most amazing vegan-friendly places to hit up with your friends or family the next time you are dining out. Added bonus? They are pretty affordable.

In a city known for its rich and mouth-watering non-veg choices, where the most widely recognized lunch is machh-bhat, I will guide you through some of my favourites and the best vegan restaurants that we have across the metropolis.

1. UBUNTU COMMUNITY:

Located in Lake Gardens, Ubuntu Community is the city's first 100% Vegan café founded by two environmentalists.

An all-in-one space where you can eat and share, Ubuntu Community, is a simple and a cosy place with a beautiful concept. It focuses on mindfulness and a healthier lifestyle for a better tomorrow.

The first eco-friendly community café in Kolkata, Ubuntu, is a space where you can fly in for a meal, host meetups, and retreat with like-minded people.

The menu is filling and super healthy. They have 'Sahi Vada', which is Dahi Vada, made with peanut milk. The mini burgers made use beetroot and spinach with soya and a wheat patty, presented with their special in-house dip. Ubuntu offers everything from black coffee and healthy smoothie bowls to burgers, pasta, and home-baked pizza. You will not get disappointed by choosing this place.

So next time you visit Kolkata or want to host a meetup, you know where to head for great ambience and food.
