Vegan Christmas Cookie you must try!

Here are my favourite cookie recipes to try this holiday season.

Christmas is a widely celebrated and beloved festivals globally. It is the most sacred time of the year for billions of people.

Naturally, food plays a very significant role in this celebration. Don’t we all remember celebrating the end of the year with warm cookies and milk when we were young? I remember Cartoon Network marathons while sitting all day in my PJs with candies and cookies.

But, of course, Christmas can never be complete without cookies. The sweet aroma of hot cookies baking in the oven fills the homes with the most warming fragrance, indicating that the Christmas season is approaching.

Since the past few years, it’s also a tradition at my home where my sister, Karan (the boyfriend) and I bake cookies together. None of us know to cook well so the cookies are almost always a disasters, but the batter sure tastes great ;) But more than anything, its an opportunity for us to bond over cooking.

Here are three recipes that I have come across and absolutely love! Hope you give them a try too!

1) Gingerbread cookies.

Recipe here.

These buttery, ginger- y cookies are perfect for cold Christmas evenings. They are not too sweet but the perfect line between savoury and sweet. If it were up to me, I’d have these all December ;)

2) Vegan Butter Cookies.

Recipe here.

When I was young, I was a HUGE lover of Walkers Shortbread highlander cookies. They are not Vegan, thus I gave up on them long back. But every now and then, I definitely crave for butter cookies.

This recipe is just that! It is soo buttery, chewy on the inside and yet crispy on the inside. Must must must try!

3) Vegan chocolate peppermint crinkle cookies.

Recipe here.

What’s Christmas without a little bit of peppermint and chocolate! Remember the chocolate After 8 when we were young? These cookies take me back to those memories. There is so much of nostalgia with Christmas!

I always believe in embracing and celebrating festivals with food. The 20% ‘cheat’ you have while celebrations is insignificant compared to the 80% of the year you have to work on your health goals.

So this Christmas, try one of the above recipes with your loved once and let me know which one you liked.

Our team is also doing a live Christmas cooking workshop on the 20th December. Details here.
