Is Green tea enough?

Can I have green tea everyday?

Which herbal tea do you see people consuming the most?

I’m sure most of you immediately thought of green tea. The benefits of green tea are now known to all, making it one of the highest consumed herbal teas in the world.

This is rightly so as it is loaded with antioxidants which are believed to have several health benefits.

But why is it necessary to switch your green tea?

One reason to keep switching your Green Tea with herbal teas instead is that they taste so much better.

But more importantly, herbs and spices have a lot of medicinal properties. And if you are only having green tea, you are most probably missing out on those properties.

There are a few alternative herbal teas that you can try and they are as follows.

  • Chamomile and Jasmine tea – This tea helps you sleep and relax. Chamomile tea is also known to reduce inflammation, menstrual pain and also treat symptoms of cold.

Jasmine tea, on the other hand, is filled with antioxidants and is known to protect your heart and improve oral health.

  • Kashmiri Kahwa – this herbal tea is immensely great to help to reduce bloating. It is also famous because of its amazing and unique taste. Kashmiri Kahwa is widely known to improve digestion, fat loss, build immunity, relief against stress, and aid in attaining glowing skin.

What does science say?

This study conducted in 2011 studies the benefits of chamomile tea concluding that it has several preventive and curative properties also working as a therapeutic agent promoting human health.

The health benefits of Kashmiri Kahwa tea were also evaluated in 2017 that concluded with promising results. The findings of the study indicated some promising antioxidant and anti-genotoxic potential of the tea.

My personal favourite…

My favorite herbal tea (rather black tea) lately is Lapsang Souchong. It is an amazing ‘smoked’ black tea that also happens to smell out of this world!

Keep switching up your tea sources whether it is green tea or some other tea. This will make sure that you get the benefits of different herbs every time you try a different tea.
