Smoothie = easy way to get our daily serving of fruits.
This smoothie recipe is the one I make for my sister Anjali all the time. It's incredibly delicious and beautifully vibrant. Usually, it’s a quick whole some snack that you can take it together on the go.
However, if you have got the time, turn it into a smoothie bowl and top it with endless topping options.
Endless topping options:
Frozen bananas make sure that the smoothie is really creamy, frothy, nice, and cold. And the more spotted the bananas are the sweeter they are going to be naturally. Fruits have fibre, nuts and butter are a good source of fats and we have added plant-based protein, too.
This helps oar’s body’s digestion of the natural sugars that are in this smoothie. It’s super nutritious and if you are hungry for more, we have got lots of them!
1 cup (150g) frozen berries.
1 small banana, frozen.
¼ cup (60ml) almond milk.
1 scoop vanilla vegan protein powder
Place frozen berries and banana in a high-speed blender or food processor and blitz on low for about 30 seconds.
Add the milk and protein powder, and blend on low again, scraping down sides as needed, until the mixture reaches a soft-serve consistency. Add more milk if necessary, to reach desired consistency.
Transfer into a serving bowl and top with favorite toppings.
NOTE: toppings are not included in nutrition information.
