Chickpeas, sweet corn, onions and nori sheets are enough to trick your brain into thinking that’s enjoying a divine meal at cost of some sin.
Nori sheets, by Nori -a seaweed or a sea vegetable
Seaweed grows along rocky shorelines around the world, It’s extremely versatile can be used in soups, sushi rolls, salads, smoothies. Sea vegetable is highly nutritious, so a little goes a long way.Sea vegetable contains a wide range of vitamins and minerals, including iodine, iron, and calcium.
Some types can even contain high amounts of vitamin B12. Moreover, it’s a good source of omega-3 fats. It’s the best dietary source of iodine, which helps support your thyroid gland.
Chickpeas – from the legume family. Grainy texture and the nutty taste.
Chickpeas area rich source of vitamins, minerals and fibre, with health benefits like improving digestion and weight management. Chickpeas are high in protein and filling, its an excellent alternative to animal-based proteins.
Chickpeas are delicious and certainly worth including in your diet to reap its magical health benefits.
2 ½ cups (400g) chickpeas, drained
2 nori sheets
1 tbsp. tahini
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 cup (175g) sweetcorn, drained
1 small onion, finely diced
Place chickpeas in a bowl and mash them with a fork, leaving some bigger parts for more texture.
Blend the nori sheet in a high-speed blender until you get nori flakes. And add it to the chickpeas. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir until well combined.
Serve on its own, or a filling for sandwiches and jacket potatoes. Store in the fridge for up to 4-5 days.
