If you have missed out on your daily intake of protein and finding something snacky but solid. Try this chocolate mousse, thick shake or smoothie as you like to call it.
This one is my go-to high protein blend and will soon be yours too! Its chocolatey and creamy with the raw cacao, avocado and banana. Almond butter adds that richness, nutty flavour and good fats. A protein powerhouse, almonds are one of the most nutritionally packed nuts. Almond butter provides a perfect way of incorporating them into your diet.
1 banana
¼ avocado
1 tbsp. almond butter
1 tbsp. raw cacao powder
2 tbsp. vegan chocolate protein powder
1 cup (240ml) almond milk, unsweetened
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth. Serve immediately.
