Keerai Poriyal or Keerai Thoran is a Kerala delicacy rich in flavour and taste. It has an easy recipe and takes next to 15-20 minutes to prepare and cook. Keerai (Spinach) is rich in calcium, vitamins A and C, iron and potassium.
It is known for its laxative effects and burns fat like a champ! This dish will prove to be an elixir for your lymphatic, urinary and digestive systems. Amaranthus is a rich source of dietary minerals including phosphorus, manganese and iron.
It reduces inflammation and is known to prove beneficial to cure conditions like cancer, diabetes and autoimmune disorders. This dish has an incredible nutrient profile and can be served with chapatis or rice.
2 Bunches of Chopped Up Greens (I Love Amaranautus)
1 Small Onion
2 Cloves of Garlic
1 Chopped Green Onion
1 tbso urad Daal
2 Tbsp shredded coconut
Heat a teaspoon of mustard oil in a pan.
Tempur urad daal / garlic and onion
Add the chopped greens
Season with salt.
Finally mix in the shredded cocunut.
