Vegan Pistachio Dates Smoothie Recipe
Pistachio: This smoothie is only to spoil you with a burst of flavor. Also one of my few recipes that is infact very high in fats. Though healthy fats, I suggest to keep the intake of this smoothie low even though it will keep you wanting for more.
Pistachio’s are of course great to get your daily dose of fats in, but also contain a whole lot of vitamins and minerals such as magnesium, zinc, cooper, potassium, calcium, sodium etc. Careful though, even a handful can add up calories real fast.
The Pistachio dates smoothie is a smoothie that will load you up with flavors and spoil you with its taste, because once you have it, you simply can never stop. It is very high in fats, and although the fats are healthy, you should keep yourself in check and only have this smoothie once in a while as one of your guilty pleasures. However, it’s not all just fats and calories, this smoothie comes with tons of healthy nutrients for your body.
Pistachios itself is loaded with a bunch of nutrients, to just boost up your immune system, and packed up with anti-oxidants to completely detoxify your body. The pistachios have pure fats and protein, but the pistachio itself is very low in calories. Pure fats are healthier compared to the calories because they don’t go into your blood stream but rather deposits itself in the body.
So diabetic patients can have this smoothie without having to worry much about its calorie content and their own blood sugar levels. Apart from that, the dates used in this recipe are extremely nutritious and the walnut milk used, is very rich in anti-oxidants, fiber and a great source of fatty acids. This flavor some, delicious smoothie is something to really indulge yourself into while being healthy and maintaining yourself a healthy, delicious lifestyle.
- 5-6 pitted and boiled dates
- ½ tsp cardamom powder
- 2 tbps maple syrup
- 20 grams pistachios
- ½ cup walnut mylk
- ½ tbps pistachio (or almond) butter
- Blend all and enjoy!
