What is one fruit you must ALWAYS buy organic?

Organic VS non- organic.
Should I buy organic or non-organic?
My mom is a huge fan of New Zealand Apples, Australian Avocadoes, and Californian Peaches. She has a fruit vendor who sources her fruits from across the globe and they are in peak condition when they arrive home.
Now, needless to say, anything that has traveled from miles apart and looks like it’s just plucked out of the tree is probably treated with some form of anti-microbial something;/
But no matter how much we try and explain to her, she won’t stop ordering exotic fruits.
But did you know that even locally grown produce is often sprayed with heavy doses of herbicides and pesticides like glyphosate? These are used to kill pests, but surely have an effect on your body too. They are known hormone disruptors. Meaning, they change the hormonal balance in your body, leading to multiple diseases.
But organic produce is often so expensive!
That is true, and nutrition might not be a priority for everyone right now. So while I say that shop locally-grown organic produce all the time, I am leaving you here with the Dirty Dozen and the Clean 15 list.
Produce on the dirty dozen list is the most treated and you want to shop organic when it comes to the dirty dozen. With the clean 15 though, it’s ok to go inorganic.
Just to give you an idea, as per a recent study, “More than 90% of the samples of strawberries, apples, cherries, spinach, nectarines, and leafy greens were positive for residues of two or more pesticides.”
To recap: When shopping from the dirty dozen- ALWAYS GO ORGANIC. When shopping from the clean 15- it is ok to choose non- organic.
Loving you always,
