Let's Talk B12
Is Vitamin B12 Deficiency a Vegan Issue?
One of the Biggest Myth about Veganism is around B12. So is B12 really a Vegan Issue?
No, it isn't. It’s an all diet issue.
Almost everyone is deficient in B12 nowadays.
B12 is a vitamin found in the soil. Animals that eat plants get this vitamin from the plants that have absorbed it from the soil. It is factually incorrect that Vitamin B12 is only found in the rumen of animals. Animals that eat plants and other creepy crawlies in the soil, get their B12 deposited in their intestines and paunch in this manner. So you'd rather consume plants and get B12 instead of consuming animal intestines!
Not only that cows are injected with B12 supplements so that your milk has B12 in it.
Hence, B12 isn’t a vegan problem but a human problem.
