The added sweetness of maple syrup along with bananas makes it more of a treat. This is turned in to a bowl for breakfast, or take it to go. Oats make it wholesome and bring a nutty flavour.
Flax seeds are emerging superfoods. With many proven health benefits and possibly more, there’s no better time than now to grab some flax seeds from your local grocery store. And one of the best ways to add it in your diet is by incorporating it into your smoothie!
Flax seeds and its benefits
2 tbsp. rolled oats
3 tbsp. hot water
1 banana, sliced & frozen
1 tbsp. flaxseed meal
1 tbsp. maple syrup
1 cup (240ml) almond milk, unsweetened
Soak the oats in the water for a few minutes until softened
Then place all the ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth. Serve immediately.
